Haunted Vancouver Unveiled

Augmented Reality Ghost Tour

In October 2024, Haunted Vancouver Unveiled transformed Gastown and Downtown Vancouver into an interactive journey through the city’s ghostly past, attracting 412 participants and 1669 AR location visits.

Participants immersed themselves in spooky stories and ghostly scenes across 13 historic sites. Using Wintor app, this self-guided tour allowed participants explore at their own pace, unveiling augmented reality ghosts and audio narratives inspired by local lore.

Funded by Downtown Vancouver BIA, Haunted Vancouver Unveiled combined historic storytelling with AR technology, enriching community engagement in the downtown core and reigniting a sense of wonder and connection to the city’s heritage.
